The goal of this program is to provide sheltered work, work skills instructions and functional classes to assist participants in
meeting personal goals.
The Adult Day Training (ADT) program is offered in Rockledge. A Habilitation
Coordinator assists in the development of class and work schedules. Classes offered include money,
computers, decision making, nutrition, arts and crafts, and volunteering. Types of work available include
assembly, mail fulfillment, and food service. About every four months or as requested, the opportunity is available
to change class and work schedules.
The Center is covered by a sub-minimum wage certificate from the U.S. Department
of Labor, and therefore work may be piece rated. On some jobs, such as helping in the
warehouse or kitchen, work is paid hourly.
Paid sick, vacation, and holiday benefits are offered to full-time clients. The
Adult Day Training program is offered Monday - Friday from 9:00 - 3:30. Transportation is available through Space Coast
Area Transit. A hot lunch is available for purchase. Program participants need to be at least 16 years old, have
sufficient identification to complete an I-9 form, and have the ability to participate in a program where the client to staff ratio
is ten to one.
