Supported Employment

The goal of this program is to provide job development, placement, on-the-job-training, or follow up and support services to assist program participants in finding and keeping a job in the community. The Employment Consultant assists with job development, placement, and on-the-job training.

Issues such as transportation to the job site will be addressed. The Employment Consultant will provide the level of support that is required for job maintenance. Contact will be made on a regular basis with the employer to ensure program success.

Program participants who were in an Adult Day Training program or Work Group program before entering Supported Employment may choose to return to a Center program should job termination occur. Program participants must have a need for on going support.
